Lost in Transition
The paintings in the Lost in Transition series were inspired by the universal shamanism of the Bon teachings. After Santjes was initiated into the Bon tradition, these images began to appear in her dreams and she translated them into these eighty-one paintings. Later, she learned that this was a modern version of an old Tibetan scrying tradition.
Copies were taken by his Holiness Lungtok Tenpai Nyima, the 33rd Abbot of the Bon tradition to Menri monastery for further study by the monks there, and the original series remains intact and has never been offered for sale.
It is now possible to order high quality giclée prints of these paintings. Printed on heavy rag watercolor paper, and matted with archival quality acid-free stock, these prints are available in black or cherry frames to grace your home or healing space.
Some of the images are available in boxed sets of note cards. The Red Series and the Ivory Series each contain 6 different folding cards with envelopes.
